  • Yerba Mate sf. reserves the right to cancel orders, for example due to incorrect price information or to stop offering product types without notice. We reserve the right to confirm orders by telephone.

2. Delivery of goods

All orders are processed the next working day after ordering.

If the product is not in stock, a customer service representative will contact you and inform you of the estimated delivery time of the product.

If the delivery is delayed, the seller will notify the buyer of this along with information about when the order will be ready for delivery or offer replacement products if the product is sold out.

The normal delivery time of a product is 1-4 working days from the time the order has been confirmed and it varies by product.

For all orders distributed by Íslandspóstur and Dropp, the delivery, warranty and transport terms of Íslandspóstur and Dropp apply to the delivery of the product. Yerba Mate sf. accordingly bears no responsibility for lost shipments or damage that may occur to goods in transit. If a product is lost in the mail or is damaged since it was sent from Yerba Mate sf. to the person concerned, the damage is the buyer's responsibility.

3. Order

  • Orders are binding when registered on the seller's server. It happens when the buyer has confirmed the order.
  • The buyer can send a confirmation of purchase when the order is registered. The buyer is advised to read the order confirmation carefully when it arrives. It should also be verified that it is consistent with the intended order.
  • The seller is also bound to process the buyer's order as long as it is consistent with the product selection and pricing. All orders suspected of cheating and/or affected by a software bug are cancelled.

4. Product price and shipping costs

  • All prices in the online store include 24% VAT, but shipping costs are then added before payment is made. We send all products by Íslandspósti and Dropp, to post offices, drop-delivery points and also directly to your door. Shipping costs vary by location and shipping method.

5. Information

  • The seller provides information about products to the best of his knowledge at all times.
  • The seller publishes all information subject to faults, viruses, printing, display and typing errors in text, prices and images.

6. Price

yerbaice.is reserves the right to change prices without prior notice.

Errors in the price can be made by accident and are not binding for yerbaice.is and we are allowed to change it without further explanation.

Price increases as well as price decreases that occur after the customer's order are not reversible. The price that was valid when the order was made and appears on the order confirmation applies.

The total cost is stated before the buyer finally confirms the order.

All prices are given in Icelandic Krónur and include VAT.

7. Defective product

  • If a product is defective, the customer is offered a new product instead and we pay all shipping costs involved. Or refund if required. In other cases, reference is made to the Act on door-to-door sales and distance sales contracts no. 46/2000 and the Act on consumer purchases.

8. Exchange and return of product

A 14-day right of return is granted when purchasing a product against the presentation of a sales invoice that adequately shows when the product was purchased. This does not apply to yerba mate, only gourds, bombillas and thermoses. The product must be unused, in perfect condition and in its original undamaged packaging when returned. If a product is sealed, the seal must not be broken. When returning a product, it is based on its original price, unless the relevant product is on sale or on a special offer when returning the product. Then the price of the product is based on the day it is returned. If the buyer does not want to exchange the product for another product, a credit note will be issued after the product is received. The credit note is in the form of a code that is used on this site when shopping and is valid for one year from the date of issue. Shipping and postage charges are non-refundable.

9. Payment

We accept: VISA and Mastercard via verifone, you can also pay with Netgíro and Saltpay

If a sale has taken place and a product is not available, the buyer is offered a refund, another similar product or to wait for the product to become available.

10. Domestic postal deliveries

All products that are sent go by Íslandspóstí or dropp.

As soon as the shipment leaves the seller, it is the responsibility of the buyer.

The seller and the buyer can agree separately on shipping insurance, and the buyer must request it separately from: yerbaice@gmail.com

11. Postal deliveries abroad

  • It is not possible to order from abroad right now.

12. Review of products

  • The customer's normal observation time is considered to be within 30 days.
  • After 30 days, the seller reserves the right to verify the buyer's statement within a reasonable time limit before resolving the buyer's complaint.

13. Right to defects

  • If the product is defective or something is missing, the seller is obliged to offer the buyer a repair or a new product.
  • Notification of defects must be received in writing to yerbaice@gmail.com. It is recommended that the notification is received within 30 days of the discovery of the defect.
  • The seller reserves the right to verify that the product is defective, however within a reasonable time limit.

14. Privacy

  • yerbaice.is handles personal data in accordance with no. 77/2000 on personal protection and processing of personal information
  • Personal information is stored in the yerbaice.is database and no one except the owners of the website and its supervisors has access to it. In no case are personal data handed over to third parties. When purchasing a product or service, a yerbaice.is customer gives their consent for the company to collect and process personal information from the company's database.
  • yerbaice.is will not under any circumstances store any credit card information of the buyer, as the buyer automatically goes to verifone's secure payment page and completes the payment for the purchase there.
  • Your access to and use of yerbaice.is is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this legal notice. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this site. These terms may change from time to time without notice.

15. Resolution of doubts

  • Always try to solve all issues in the simplest way possible.
  • If that is not possible, the matter can be referred to the Consumers' Association.
  • As a last resort, you can take the case to court. It must be done in Icelandic jurisdiction and in the jurisdiction of the seller.
